When we first met Peter & Katie and they told us about their idea of a Tipi Wedding we where instantly hooked…. it sounded amazing, well we love anything thats a bit different 🙂
The ceremony took place at St James the Great with its amazing views, you can even see Blackpool Tower for the church grounds, and the Tipi on the farm next to the church.
Now all they needed was the weather to help…. well lets say it didnt, we had rain, infact a LOT of rain but this didnt spoil what was going to be an amazing day and boy was it.
Hog Roast, real ale and live music just brought a smile to everyone and after some great speeches….. THE SUN CAME OUT!!!!
We just had to use the amazing lancashire countryside as the backdrop for their images and to keep the feel of an outdoor wedding, add to that a gorgeous sunset and we where leaving not only with some amazing images but also some amazing memories 🙂
A huge thank you to Peter & Katie for asking us to be part of their amazing wedding, it truly was unique.

Katie & John’s Wedding at Ashfield House Hotel by Stanbury Photography
Ashfield House Hotel is a real gem of a wedding venue and even better its only 5 minutes from Stanbury Photography HQ add to that its stunning gardens, opulent bridal interiors and don’t get me on the amazing food it pretty much goes without saying its perfect for our style of exclusive wedding photography.
The exclusive boutique hotel look & feel of Ashfield House is what Katie & John fell in love with and boy are we glad that they chose Jane & I to be their Ashfield House Wedding Photographers. Katie & John are just the best, so friendly and just genuinely nice people to be around, we had so much fun at their pre shoot and we where so excited when their wedding day came.
The grounds at Ashfield House are just beautiful, the lavender path is just stunning for wedding photography add to that the gorgeous Katie & john we shot some of our favourite wedding photographs, the happy couple just looked amazing and such a joy to photograph.
Creative Wedding Photography
We are asked on our seminars & wedding photography workshops “Whats the secret behind a good wedding photograph” and the answer is the connection and love that the photograph shows, and the love that Katie & John have for each other is just infectious so we really couldn’t go wrong in shooting some stunning wedding photographs just overflowing with love and happiness and thats what made their wedding at Ashfield House Hotel so perfect and so much fun for us.
The Inn At Whitewell is such a gorgeous wedding venue in the beautiful trough of bowland surrounded by the most stunning countryside, add to that sunshine, champagne & friends and what more do you need for the perfect wedding day.
Zak & Victoria’s wedding took place at the equally stunning St Marys Church in Fernyhalgh with its amazing interior and just perfect light, it was just beautiful to photograph in.
The Inn At Whitewell is just a joy to photograph at and we had a quiet 5 minutes with the happy couple before it was back to their family & friends enjoying canopaie in the sun overlooking the River Ribble and the Trough of Bowlnd as a backdrop.
The wedding breakfast served in the marquee gave us an opportunity to taste the amazing food and it didn’t disappoint (can’t beat good northern fayre)
The speeches where great, such fun and everybody really enjoyed the best mans destruction of Zak, then its was time for the Deadbeats to get the party started and after a nervous first dance the dance floor filled and as the sun set the party continued.
Wedding Photography at the Inn at Whitewell never disappoints us, its just a fabulous venue to capture our style of photography with gorgeous gardens for our Bride & Groom shots and stunning light for the storytelling shots its just a joy to work at.
Heres a small set of our fave images from Zak & Victoria’s Inn at Whitewell Wedding day. D&J xx

Bolton School Wedding Photography – Andrew & Sarah’s Wedding
When we first met Sarah & Andrew they explained exactly how they wanted THEIR wedding to be, it was to be all about their love for each other and how much fun their friends are….. well tick them 2 boxes 🙂
They are both massive Harry Potter fans so when they first saw Bolton School then they instantly fell in love with this amazing Bolton Wedding Venue, it fitted the theme perfectly.
We knew that this wedding was going to emotional one minute…. crazy the next and we weren’t disappointed and as the evening guests arrived and Sarahs Brothers band took to the stage the party really started and the dance floor never emptied.
Heres a few of our favourite images……..
A huge thanks to Andrew,Sarah and their family & friends for making this such an amazing wedding and if your looking at having your wedding at Bolton School then get in touch as we would love to be part of your amazing day. D&J xx
David & Suzie are just a fabulous couple, their love for each other is infectious. We first met Suzie at her sisters wedding and it was such an honour to again be part of this amazing families celebrations.
This was our first visit to the stunning 30 James Street Hotel in the centre of Liverpool and we are so happy that they chose us as their Liverpool wedding photographers, we had such an amazing day. The sun was also playing its part as the guests sipped champagne in the rooftop bar with its amazing views of the famous 3 graces and the Liverpool waterfront, just a perfect place to enjoy a perfect day.
Suzie is one of three sisters and as Jane has 2 sisters it felt just like being at home, the laughter and closeness made for some fab photographs in the morning. David, arriving with his best man & ushers, was a little nervous, after all he had the speech and a dance to do. I don’t know why he was worried as his speech was perfect and their first dance….. WOW, brilliant.
This was such a great wedding to be part of with so much love & happiness what more could you ask for…. oh what?? a sunset??? Liverpool waterfront even delivered the most amazing sunset, as if this day wasn’t perfect enough.
Here’s a few of our fave images, hope you love them as much as we do. D&J xx A mahosive thank you to Suzie,David and their families & friends for the most amazing day and superb hospitality. We loved EVERY minute of your wedding, thanks for having us. “booking David & Jane from day one was one of the easiest decisions we made”
We first met Adam & Jenna when we photographed Adams Brother’s Wedding at which he was with his other brother, best man and after one of the funniest Bestmen speeches we had high hopes for a day full of laughter, what we didn’t expect was just how much fun this wedding would be and we are so glad they chose us as their Mitton Hall Wedding Photographers. Adam proposed to Jenna at the Glastonbury Festival a few years earlier and after looking around at venues they decide on the stunning Mitton Hall, (this also is one of our fave venues) and made a perfect backdrop for their photographs. Jenna looked amazing in her Roland Joyce dress which after many visits to Bridal shops and trying on dresses she fell in love with as soon as she saw it, she knew this was the one. Adam… well, he was looking on the day of the Rugby Grand Final but still got the perfect suit and he looked the part along with his Bestmen Brothers and mates. St Davids Church in the beautiful Village of Haigh was the marriage setting with Adam & his brothers arriving in a Rolls & Jenna arriving in her fathers HGV Wagon as its his passion and been a part of their families lives. Getting out was a different matter but Jenna’s Brother is 6’7″ so getting Jenna out was fun. The drive to Mitton Hall gave the newly married couple chance to finally talk and a bit of quiet time before the fun really started. Mitton Hall is just perfect for wedding photography, the gardens are beautiful and with mother nature giving us gorgeous sunshine for the day we grabbed fun & relaxed images of 2 people who have amazing families & friends and are very much in love. After a fab meal came the main event…. as Adam was the last of the 3 brothers to marry there was a lot of ‘revenge’ to be given and his 2 best men didn’t disappoint, these where really funny speeches in fact the day more than lived up to our expectations, it was perfect 🙂 I will leave the last words with Adam & Jenna to pass on a few tips…. Choose your suppliers well it makes a massive difference if you can trust who your working with and can help you have your perfect day. If we had to do it all again we would use all the same suppliers again as they were so amazing Photography – David & Jane Stanbury Stanbury Photography Jenna’s Dress – Roland Joyce ‘pippa’Adams Suites – Youngs at DebenhamsFlowers – Wild & WonderousHair & MUA – Flossy & Leigh A huge thank you to Adam & Jenna for choosing us to photograph their amazing wedding and if you’re planning a wedding at Mitton Hall and are looking for an experienced Mitton Hall Wedding Photographers then get in touch, we simply love the place 🙂
