So as 2016 nears its end its time for us to regroup and reflect on what turned out to be a real whirlwind of a year…. but WHAT A YEAR!!!!!
2016 was filled with meeting & photographing amazing people in amazing locations, we photographed some truly wonderful weddings and made friends that will last a lifetime, from Castles in Scotland to Villas in Italy we witnessed the most special moments.
This was also the year that saw one of the biggest changes in our business, our fab new studio 🙂 after 17 years we decided (with some anticipation) to move to a new bigger, better studio and after 6 months…. well we should have done it years ago.
We always enjoy putting the end of year reviews together, its very theraputic but does cause a few arguments though as we both have our favourites and this is probably why this review is our biggest EVER!!! theres just so many wonderful memories but we had to keep it a short as possible…
Now we are not saying that these are the BEST photos we have taken this year but every one of these images brings back the most wonderful images from a fantastic year photographing friends.
So with next year looking to be one of our busiest EVER as we are shooting weddings all over the UK & Abroad, we have several photography workshops to host and the ULTIMATE honour of Judging national Photography awards this year, 2017 is really shaping up to be the best yet.
To all our wonderful clients this year, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for your trust, hospitality but most of all your friendship.
To our 2017 clients…. this is going to be the best year of your life, trust us its going to be the most amazing year….. we can’t wait!!!

Mark & Tina wanted a dream wedding and after many visits to Italy fell in love with the stunning Villa Cora and its views over the magical Italian city of Florence with the evening celebrations in the roof top restaurant of the Westin Hotel with its panoramic views over Florence.
Now we have witnessed many wedding ceremonies over the years but perhaps this was the most emotional as Mark surprised Tina by learning his vows in perfect Italian and after the ceremony Mark, Tina and the guests walked through the streets filled with tourists from all over the world admiring the statues & buildings but all that came to a halt as all eyes where on the gorgeous Mark & Tina who where a picture of elegance.
Florence is one of the most beautiful places in the world and a perfect location for a wedding and we where so glad that Mark & Tina chose us as their Destination Wedding Photographers, its a wedding that we won’t forget and we made so many new friends…. in short it was just perfect.
We will let Mark & Tina have the last words…. We always knew Florence was going to provide a jaw dropping location to our wedding, your photographs just made it look more spectacular! Our wedding photographs are so important and our lasting memory of our most special day, we couldn’t have been in better hands. We enjoyed your company and look forward to seeing you as friends in the future. Arrivederci! Palazzo Vecchio in the heart of Florence was the sumptuous setting for their wedding ceremony. It was then onto one of the most truly jaw dropping locations we have ever photographed, the Piazzale Michelangelo. To raise the bar of this amazing wedding was going to be tough but they did it with their reception being held in the stunning Mirror Room at beautiful Villa Cora. Villa Cora is just the most perfect of wedding venues, the staff super helpful and the food!!! oh boy the food was amazing!!!! The evening was planned as a celebration of love and with the guests dressed in their finest Mark & Tina raised the bar yet AGAIN!!! with the roof top restaurant at the Westin Hotel and its panoramic nightie views over Florence, you could almost touch Il Duomo di Firenze the Cathederal that dominates the skyline, and with all Florence around us we danced and laughed the evening away.A huge than you to Mark, Tina and their family and friends for an amazing wedding and an amazing few days i the beautiful city of Florence. If your getting married abroad then get in touch with us about our Destination Wedding Photography services, we cover ALL worldwide locations. D&J xx

Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography – Gillian & Todd’s Wedding
So what happens when & boy from New Zealand meets a girl from the UK? answer a fab wedding at The Inn on the Lake at Ullswater. The Lake district has to be one of the most beautiful places to visit and we are so glad that Gillian & Todd chose us as their Lake District wedding photographers as its also one of our favourite places. We arrived to see the guys from New Zealand playing errr croquet on the lawns, I suppose its safer than rugby and while Jane captured a few shots of Gillian & the Bridesmaids I joined Todd and his ushers. The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and with views overlooking Lake Ullswater the ceremony was idyllic. The air filled with laughter as the guests drank pimms on the lawns and chatted we slipped of for some photos by the lake, well it would be rude not to. Todd & Gillian are a fun couple and the bridal party were crazy the photos were a joy from start to finish. The speeches started with emotional video messages from Todd’s native New Zealand, then a crazy speech from Gillians Dad ending with the usual best man destroys groom speech (I love speeches its such a great part of the day). This was such a relaxing wedding that after the meal guest wandered around the stunning gardens and into the evening reception for a great evening with great dancing (a fab first dance from Todd & Gillian) and if we hadn’t been spoiled enough mother nature gave us a grand ending with the most wonderful evening so we grabbed a few shots on the jetty, intact it was worth a few midge bites as the light was perfect & we shot some gorgeous images. What a great end to a great day, hope you enjoy the images. D&J xx
