Lake District Wedding Photography

Rachel & Nathan’s Wedding at The Grange Hotel

Photographing a wedding in the beautiful Lake District is always special, the scenery and venues are just fantastic.

The Grange Hotel with its views over the Bay and the south lakes is such a wonderful location for a wedding and its close by to the bay for us to grab some amazing photographs in the evening.

Rachel & Nathan are just the most chilled out couple… EVER but boy this wedding was just crazy but crazy in a good way. We just had such a laugh.

The ceremony took place at a church in the Village of Grange, again with amazing views

The weather was gorgeous and as the guests chatted with each other whilst enjoying champagne & nibbles we grabbed those all important photos with the new Mr & Mrs Crane around the grounds.

The speeches where a rollercoaster of emotions with tears and laughter being interrupted by singing waiters ending in a crazy conga (i think every wedding needs a good conga:) )

A few photos on the station as the sun set & it was time to party and boy do these guys know how to party.

Our goal as wedding photographers is to create documentary photographs as unobtrusively as possible and also truly amazing photographs of the couple and we are so glad that Nathan & Rachel chose us as their Lake district wedding photographers.

Here are a selection of our fave images, we hope you love the too…. D&Jxx

Jason & Laura // Armathwaite Hall Wedding Photography

Armathwaite Hall Wedding Photography – Jason & Laura’s Wedding

“Thanks to our amazing pictures we have the memories to last a life time”

We just LOVE weddings in the Lake District, I don’t know if its the stunning venues or the beautiful landscape but as a Lake District Wedding Photographer we are truly blessed with amazing weddings and Jason & Laura’s big day at Armathwaite Hall was AMAZING!!!

Now the full story is a little different as this wedding adventure started with Storm Desmond throwing floods, high winds and even snow storms at us taking out bridges and our hotel for the night before, but on the day of their wedding the sun shone and everybody had a huge smile on their face.

We grabbed a few shots of Laura & her Bridesmaids in the morning as the excitement in the room grew whilst at the other side of Armathwaite Hall was Jason looking so smart in his uniform of The Duke Of Lancaster’s Regiment with his best men & Ushers contributing to the days laughter with their endless jokes & pranks.

One of our favourite parts of the day is when the Brides Father see’s his daughter for the first time and a few tears where shed as Laura’s very proud Dad walked her up the aisle to a very nervous Jason.

Bassenthwaite Lake and the stunning Lake District hills provided the most beautiful of photography backdrops for the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Lamonby-Parker who just love photography and wanted to make the most of their day, even when the rain started to pour down this didn’t stop them, infact one of our favourite images of the day was just the two of them under an umbrella as the rain poured down, after all Storm Desmond didn’t stop the weddings so a bit of rain certainly wasn’t going stop the party.

A huge thank you to Jason & Laura for choosing Stanbury Photography as their Armathwaite Hall Wedding Photographers, we had such an amazing time and loved every minute of their beautiful day. Enjoy travelling the world on your honeymoon. If you’re looking for an experienced Lake District Wedding Photographers then drop us an email, we would love to join you on your wedding adventure. So how do you define a year, after all a year is a long time…. 365 days or 8760 hours or 525600 minutes… how do YOU define YOUR year? We define our year by images & memories and below is a small selection of our best memories from 2015 & what a year it was. 2015 had so many highlights for us, we witnessed special peoples lives change forever at amazing weddings in stunning locations. Our photography took us to all parts of the UK, to beautiful Florence and New York no less, we witnessed so much love and happiness and received such wonderful hospitality from all our amazing couples, we where truly humbled. We continued to have great support from fellow photographers for our training services, holding workshops & seminars in London, Amsterdam and the truly amazing Las Vegas. So Happy New Year and here’s to a fantastic 2016, a year that will provide more amazing memories for us in our 21st year in business. We are honoured to be shooting weddings in all parts of the UK and Europe and witnessing that fun & laughter that first made us want to be wedding photographers… So here’s to a fantastic 2016 and the BEST job in the world. VIVA!!!!

Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography – Gillian & Todds Wedding

Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography – Gillian & Todd’s Wedding

So what happens when & boy from New Zealand meets a girl from the UK? answer a fab wedding at The Inn on the Lake at Ullswater. The Lake district has to be one of the most beautiful places to visit and we are so glad that Gillian & Todd chose us as their Lake District wedding photographers as its also one of our favourite places. We arrived to see the guys from New Zealand playing errr croquet on the lawns, I suppose its safer than rugby and while Jane captured a few shots of Gillian & the Bridesmaids I joined Todd and his ushers. The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and with views overlooking Lake Ullswater the ceremony was idyllic. The air filled with laughter as the guests drank pimms on the lawns and chatted we slipped of for some photos by the lake, well it would be rude not to. Todd & Gillian are a fun couple and the bridal party were crazy the photos were a joy from start to finish. The speeches started with emotional video messages from Todd’s native New Zealand, then a crazy speech from Gillians Dad ending with the usual best man destroys groom speech (I love speeches its such a great part of the day). This was such a relaxing wedding that after the meal guest wandered around the stunning gardens and into the evening reception for a great evening with great dancing (a fab first dance from Todd & Gillian) and if we hadn’t been spoiled enough mother nature gave us a grand ending with the most wonderful evening so we grabbed a few shots on the jetty, intact it was worth a few midge bites as the light was perfect & we shot some gorgeous images. What a great end to a great day, hope you enjoy the images. D&J xx

A huge thank you to the gorgeous Todd & Gillian and to their family & friends for all their hospitality & laughter, it was a memorable day for us. xx If your getting married at the Inn on the Lake and are looking for an experienced Inn on the Lake wedding photographer then get in touch, its a wonderful venue & we love shooting weddings there. Haigh Hall Asian Wedding Photography – Bina & Ben Part 2

Haigh Hall Asian Wedding Photography by David & Jane Stanbury

Part 2 of Bina & Bens Asian wedding at Haigh Hall say yet another dress change by Bina into a equally stunning traditional white wedding gown & Ben in a lounge suit. A very proud Dad walked Bina up the Aisle and after an emotional ceremony we managed to get another few minutes with Bina & Ben for some shots. I have to say thanks to Bina & Ben for dodging the showers to go outside for some gorgeous evening photographs & then back to the first dance and then…… WOW what a party, the dance floor was crammed, what an atmosphere & what a way to end a fantastic 3 days of events

A very relaxed Ben

Bina looked stunning in her gorgeous Bridal gown

A proud moment for Dad

Now thats how you enter a room

Beautiful first dance, full love love………

….. Then Bangla, and the dance floor goes mad

A huge thanks to not only Bina & Ben but their families & friends for their hospitality, they really did make us feel like one of the family, a wedding we will never forget. If you missed Part 1 then check it out here. Having your Asian wedding at Haigh Hall then we really dont want to miss it so why not get in touch D&J xx

Happy Fathers Day

Sunday 16th June is Fathers Day here in the UK, a time to celebrate & thank your Dad for being your Dad and so in tribute to Dad’s I decided to do a post with a few of my favourite Father moments captured at our Weddings. I am honoured to have 3 children and when my second Daughter was born the midwife turned to me and said’ David, another Wedding to pay for’. Being a Dad is brilliant but being a Dad to a Daughter is special as you wait all her life for that special moment, her Wedding when she marries that other man in her life, after all Dad has waited all her life for this one moment as I am waiting for mine (but I hopefully have the pleasure of doing it twice).I dont know about you reading this blog but every time I look at these images I see my kids…. playing, laughing, being angels…..asking for money, coming home late!!!!! but I wouldn’t change it for the world, if your a Dad you know what I mean 🙂 Happy Fathers Day to all you proud Dads
