2015 – Looking Back On A Year Of Memories

So how do you define a year, after all a year is a long time…. 365 days or 8760 hours or 525600 minutes… how do YOU define YOUR year? We define our year by images & memories and below is a small selection of our best memories from 2015 & what a year it was. 2015 had so many highlights for us, we witnessed special peoples lives change forever at amazing weddings in stunning locations. Our photography took us to all parts of the UK, to beautiful Florence and New York no less, we witnessed so much love and happiness and received such wonderful hospitality from all our amazing couples, we where truly humbled. We continued to have great support from fellow photographers for our training services, holding workshops & seminars in London, Amsterdam and the truly amazing Las Vegas. So Happy New Year and here’s to a fantastic 2016, a year that will provide more amazing memories for us in our 21st year in business. We are honoured to be shooting weddings in all parts of the UK and Europe and witnessing that fun & laughter that first made us want to be wedding photographers… So here’s to a fantastic 2016 and the BEST job in the world. VIVA!!!!
I do hope you enjoyed these images as much as we did capturing them and to our gorgeous couples I hope they brought back some amazing memories. Thanks 2015 you where brilliant!!!! D&J xx

Mitton Hall Wedding Photography – Jenna & Adam

“booking David & Jane from day one was one of the easiest decisions we made”

We first met Adam & Jenna when we photographed Adams Brother’s Wedding at which he was with his other brother, best man and after one of the funniest Bestmen speeches we had high hopes for a day full of laughter, what we didn’t expect was just how much fun this wedding would be and we are so glad they chose us as their Mitton Hall Wedding Photographers. Adam proposed to Jenna at the Glastonbury Festival a few years earlier and after looking around at venues they decide on the stunning Mitton Hall, (this also is one of our fave venues) and made a perfect backdrop for their photographs. Jenna looked amazing in her Roland Joyce dress which after many visits to Bridal shops and trying on dresses she fell in love with as soon as she saw it, she knew this was the one. Adam… well, he was looking on the day of the Rugby Grand Final but still got the perfect suit and he looked the part along with his Bestmen Brothers and mates. St Davids Church in the beautiful Village of Haigh was the marriage setting with Adam & his brothers arriving in a Rolls & Jenna arriving in her fathers HGV Wagon as its his passion and been a part of their families lives. Getting out was a different matter but Jenna’s Brother is 6’7″ so getting Jenna out was fun. The drive to Mitton Hall gave the newly married couple chance to finally talk and a bit of quiet time before the fun really started. Mitton Hall is just perfect for wedding photography, the gardens are beautiful and with mother nature giving us gorgeous sunshine for the day we grabbed fun & relaxed images of 2 people who have amazing families & friends and are very much in love. After a fab meal came the main event…. as Adam was the last of the 3 brothers to marry there was a lot of ‘revenge’ to be given and his 2 best men didn’t disappoint, these where really funny speeches in fact the day more than lived up to our expectations, it was perfect 🙂 I will leave the last words with Adam & Jenna to pass on a few tips…. Choose your suppliers well it makes a massive difference if you can trust who your working with and can help you have your perfect day. If we had to do it all again we would use all the same suppliers again as they were so amazing Photography – David & Jane Stanbury Stanbury Photography Jenna’s Dress – Roland Joyce ‘pippa’Adams Suites – Youngs at DebenhamsFlowers – Wild & WonderousHair & MUA – Flossy & Leigh A huge thank you to Adam & Jenna for choosing us to photograph their amazing wedding and if you’re planning a wedding at Mitton Hall and are looking for an experienced Mitton Hall Wedding Photographers then get in touch, we simply love the place 🙂

Rufford Old Hall Wedding Photography – Tracey & Anthony

Rufford Old Hall Wedding Photography by David & Jane Stanbury
I am so glad that Tracey & Anthony decided to book me as their Rufford Old Hall wedding photographer for so many reasons but the main reason is they LOVE photography. Their wedding was simply beautiful, just 18 of their closest family made this wedding ever so special for us to photograph. Our brief was simple, 1 hour, anything we wanted,anywhere….. WOW, you dont get that every day and to make things better Rufford Old Hall is National Trust so the gardens are stunning…. a wedding photographers dream venue :). Tracey & Anthony looked stunning and a joy to photograph (I could have spent all day) and Traceys smile was almost as bright as the gorgeous sunshine we had. Below are a small selection of my favourite images from a super day…. for you photographers out there all the images were shot on my Hasselblad and yes I did have fun 🙂

Tracey & Anthony then left for an intimate meal at Northcote near clitheroe to indulge their second passion cooking. If your planning or thinking about arranging your wedding at Rufford Old Hall and need an experienced Rufford Old Hall wedding photographer then get in touch, we would love to photograph your wedding. Haigh Hall Asian Wedding Photography – Bina & Ben Part 2

Haigh Hall Asian Wedding Photography by David & Jane Stanbury

Part 2 of Bina & Bens Asian wedding at Haigh Hall say yet another dress change by Bina into a equally stunning traditional white wedding gown & Ben in a lounge suit. A very proud Dad walked Bina up the Aisle and after an emotional ceremony we managed to get another few minutes with Bina & Ben for some shots. I have to say thanks to Bina & Ben for dodging the showers to go outside for some gorgeous evening photographs & then back to the first dance and then…… WOW what a party, the dance floor was crammed, what an atmosphere & what a way to end a fantastic 3 days of events

A very relaxed Ben

Bina looked stunning in her gorgeous Bridal gown

A proud moment for Dad

Now thats how you enter a room

Beautiful first dance, full love love………

….. Then Bangla, and the dance floor goes mad

A huge thanks to not only Bina & Ben but their families & friends for their hospitality, they really did make us feel like one of the family, a wedding we will never forget. Haigh Hall Asian Wedding Photography – Bina & Ben Part 1

Asian Wedding Photography – Bina & Ben’s Wedding was a lavish, colourful 2 part extravaganza at Haigh Hall. We first met Bina at her Mehndi celebrations and from that moment on the warmth & friendship we received from all her family was amazing, we were treated more like friends than photographers. Bina’s wedding dress was truly amazing, the colour, detail & sheer quality was breathtaking and a work of art to put on, but easy in the hands of an expert. We arrived at haigh Hall all decked out for the ceremony, the Hindu ceremony was to say the least fascinating and to think this ceremony dates back generations and the one thing that I did love most was ALL the family was involved. I got the chance to shoot a few quick images of Bina & Ben after the 2 hour ceremony but not long as she was whisked away to prepare for part 2 of the days celebrations………..

Keep watching for Part 2 of this amazing wedding – coming soon

Wrightington Hotel Wedding Photography – Vivienne & Steven

Wrightington Hotel is a gorgeous modern hotel, great interiors and loads of scope for outdoor shots and the Bridal suite is stunning, so glad that Viv booked it to get ready in. When Jane & I arrived the bridesmaids were excited to say the least and through a secret window they watched Steven & his entourage arrive( you could hear the cheers from reception lol)The weather was glorious, and made Vivs dream of a ‘wedding abroad’ come true as the gardens looked stunning in the sunshine as we shot some amazing images by the lake. Viv & Steven’s theme was colourful & the Blazers Suite at Wrightington Hotel was amazing, full of colour. Three very nervous but funny speeches followed to continue the day and as we partied into the evening a fabulous sunset was the ‘icing on the cake’ to end a perfect day.

I love the reaction as Dad see’s his Daughter for the first time… always gets mewrightington-hotel-wedding-photography-wigan-stanbury-photography004
