Katy & Philips crazy wedding at Kilhey Court

Kilhey court surrounded by its own gardens has over the years been one of our second homes, well it is only 10 mins from where we live 🙂

It was such a joy to photography Katy & Philips wedding as we first met Katy and her family as we photographed her sisters wedding at the equally stunning Ashfield House a few years ago.

One of the joys of documenting weddings with our photography is that you get to meet and make new friends along the way and it was great to meet up again with Katys family.

Now their wedding theme was ‘a black tie dinner with the party to end all parties in the evening’ and boy did this wedding live up to the theme.

Great speeches and dancing on tables was just the pre lude to a pre rehearsed first dance and then BOOM!!!! the dancefloor filled and never emptied

As a storytelling wedding photographer when you have such crazy family & friends who just love to let themselves go and have a good time it certainly makes your job easier… I say Job, Katy & Philips wedding was just a joy to photograph, they are such fun loving people with great family and dare i say…. crazy friends. What a day!!!!

2015 – Looking Back On A Year Of Memories

So how do you define a year, after all a year is a long time…. 365 days or 8760 hours or 525600 minutes… how do YOU define YOUR year? We define our year by images & memories and below is a small selection of our best memories from 2015 & what a year it was. 2015 had so many highlights for us, we witnessed special peoples lives change forever at amazing weddings in stunning locations. Our photography took us to all parts of the UK, to beautiful Florence and New York no less, we witnessed so much love and happiness and received such wonderful hospitality from all our amazing couples, we where truly humbled. We continued to have great support from fellow photographers for our training services, holding workshops & seminars in London, Amsterdam and the truly amazing Las Vegas. So Happy New Year and here’s to a fantastic 2016, a year that will provide more amazing memories for us in our 21st year in business. We are honoured to be shooting weddings in all parts of the UK and Europe and witnessing that fun & laughter that first made us want to be wedding photographers… So here’s to a fantastic 2016 and the BEST job in the world. VIVA!!!!

Ashfield House Wedding Photography – Rosalind & Michael

This wedding was always going to be special as we first met Michael & Rosalind at her sisters wedding 3 years ago so we knew just how close and how fun the families are and how much effort and attention to detail they put into family events. Rosalind & Michael went for the full Great Gatsby Glamour of the the 1920’s with Rosalind looking absolutely stunning in her Eliza Jane Howell dress with matching head piece and Michael in tails to complete the vintage 20’s look. The amazing Bridesmaids dresses where made by her mum… how cool do they look. Jane photographed Rosalind and her bridesmaids at her mother gorgeous cottage, the lighting was perfect for our photography and the day started on a high and never dropped at all, I met a very nervous Michael and their son at the church on a beautiful summers day and after a very emotional ceremony it was onto Ashfield House for the party to start. I have to say we have a soft spot for Ashfield house, its our local venue and we know the owners well and it was just the perfect setting for this chic 1920 vintage themed wedding. The evening celebrations started with the wedding cake (made by an aunty) being cut then into the first dance and the dance floor never emptied. What a fab way to end the most perfect of days for a couple who after all their hard work deserve the most perfect wedding. Heres a selection of our favourites… enjoy. We really do love photographing weddings at Rivington Hall Barn and so we were honoured when Kris & Ellen booked us as their Rivington Hall Barn weddings Photographers, infact they booked us 2 years before the big day, now thats organised. Kris & Ellen are a great couple, such fun to be around & Ellen never stopped smiling all day, they were a joy to photograph. The Ceremony took place at St Marys Catholic Church close to the centre of Wigan filled full of their closest family & friends to create an atmosphere of love during the emotional ceremony as their lives changed forever, then it was off to the stunning Rivington Hall Barn surrounded by the beautiful Lancashire countryside. Rivington Hall Barn has so many looks & locations it really is perfect for weddings, we started in the surrounding fields filled with wild flowers & grasses and finished with the amazing lighting that Rivington Hall Barn weddings are famous for, perfect for Ellen & her girlfriends showstopping dance routine. Kris & Ellen just made our job so easy and we had such a great time shooting some of my fave images of the summer. Hope you love these images as much as we do…..
